NEW! The Adolescent Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a new stateoftheart observation unit serving adolescents experiencing a psychiatric crisis. The Adolescent CSU can serve up to 5 patients at a time in an open therapeutic milieu. The CSUfosters a collaborative interprofessional environment that supports all aspects of nursing practice allowing you to deliver highquality care using the most advanced technologies paired with the latest advancements in nursing.Members of the interdisciplinary treatment team are prepared to manage patients who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis and in need of immediate aroundtheclock care and observation. The units open concept features a large central room with comfortable reclining chairs rather than traditional hospital beds. Spaces for individual therapy are located immediately adjacent to the central living space.The unit provides other homelike touches for a more therapeutic milieu such as TVs music and web access for patients. The University of Iowa Hospitals and ClinicsDepartment of Nursing is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN) for the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) to assess patients nursing care needs evaluate effectiveness of care provided and integrate nursing theory and research into clinical practice.
Percent of Time: 90 36 hours per week
Schedule: Day Shifts. Holidays that land on the weekend or weekday would be included
Location:Regular salaried position located in Iowa City Iowa
SEIU Pay Plan: Differentials:Shift differentials for evening night and weekend shifts. Premium pay for additional shifts greater than 4 hours. Inpatient differential of $3000.00 per year
