Position Summary
The Department of Psychology at the University of Denver is looking to hire adjunct instructors for theacademic year to teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses such as Introduction to Clinical Psychology Introduction to Cognitive Neuroscience Introduction to Social Psychology Introduction to Statistics Adult Psychopathology Child and Lifespan Development Child Psychopathology Clinical Psychology Motivation and Emotion Research Design and Inference Research Methods and specialtopics courses.
Essential Functions
- Teaching (generally inperson) twice a week
- Holding office hours
- Assigning papers and exams as appropriate
- Being available to assist students with assignments
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree
- Previous teaching experience
- Ability to teach at the university level
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Psychology
- Collegelevel teaching experience
Work Schedule
While the Universitys administrative offices are open Monday Friday 8:00 am 4:30 pm faculty schedules vary from term to term and are based on courses taught service commitments and research agendas. The Universitys academic calendars are posted on the registrars website (the law school is on a semester system and has a different academic calendar.

Course Rate
The current rate of pay is $5060 per four credit course in academic year.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate departmental budget availability internal salary equity considerations and available market information but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
