Job Description

Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of Production Associates in a maketoorder heat pump (HVAC) manufacturing environment. Carries out supervisory tasks in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training Associates; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; Associate relations and recognitions; problem solving and continuous improvements.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Leads to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining product quality
  • Oversees the accomplishment of assigned tasks across all work stations
  • Will ensure daily production targets are achieved and will report target deviations
  • Enforces conformance to specifications and compliance to work instructions for setup adjustments of machines or start of shift firstpiece inspections
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments/targets
  • Implements work instruction changes and trains staff to new standardized work
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists Associates in solving work problems
  • Leads and/or participates in GEMBA walks and drives Continuous Improvements (CI)
  • Develops close working relationship with all Associates and gains/builds trust
  • Responsible for safety quality delivery and costs within their shift
  • Fills out safety incident reports and performs preliminary investigations
  • Directs finished goods to packline and product warehouse putaway
  • Supports new product introductions.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5 years of Manufacturing experience
  • 5 years of Leadership experience from the Manufacturing Industry
  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft products (i.e. Excel Outlook Word Visio Power Point etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree and 3 years prior Manufacturing experience (Electrical Mechanical Industrial Ergonomics)
  • Ability to work and make decisions independently
  • Strong analytical skills and solid problemsolving abilities (i.e. 8Ds and/or PSS projects)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively across all levels
  • Experience with Lean & working within a Lean Enterprise organization
  • Must be able to manage multiple simultaneous priorities
  • Production control and/or inventory management
  • Quality Assurance and/or Control
  • Supply chain and/or planning
  • Design for manufacturing experience
  • Six Sigma Certified
  • Prior Value stream mapping knowledge and/or VS Designs ideally using MS Visio
  • Familiarity of PFMEA and Control Plans ISO Standards


Additional Information :

Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.  Future sponsorship for work authorization unavailable. 

Salary Range: The U.S. base salary range for this fulltime position is $76000 $100000. Within the range individual pay is determined based on several factors including but not limited to work experience and job knowledge complexity of the role job location etc.
