We are seeking a talented and motivated technician to join a research team led by Dr. Anna Duarri at the Vall dHebron Research Institute (VHIR)
successful candidate will have the opportunity to work retinal diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa or agerelated macular degeneration using animal models and developing therapies.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Masters degree in Life Sciences (e.g. Biological Sciences Biomedical Sciences)
- Certification in Animal Experimentation
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- Experience with small laboratory animals
- Ophthalmological techniques will be positively valued
- Experience in ophthalmological techniques will be positively considered
Desired:
- Cell culture experience
- Communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English
- Interest in learning able to work independently critical thinking
- Good computer skills and basic knowledge of bioinformatics and statistical analysis
- Teamwork proactivity (ability to work independently when necessary) and wellorganised and responsible person at work
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Work with animal models animal surgery and in vivo monitoring related to ophthalmology
- Basic laboratory techniques and cell culture
- Report preparation
Labour conditions:
- 40h/week (fulltime)
- Gross annual salary: 21.50159
- Contract length: 1 year (linked to the project)
