Responsibilities:
- Create effective user friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
- Design the overall functionality of the product in order to ensure a great user experience iterate upon it in accordance with usertesting.
- Design user interfaces for various projects such as digital displays publications media and other creative materials as required.
- Take a usercentered design approach and rapidly test and iterate the designs.
- Conceive and conduct user research interviews and surveys and translating them into sitemaps user flows customer journey maps wireframes mockups and prototypes
General Skills:
- Relevant experience creating GUI designs based on user interaction and performance
- Experience as a UX designer interactive designer UI designer or similar role designing for web and mobile applications
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools
- Thorough understanding of the limitations and appropriate use of web development technologies
- Experience in designing online programs with emphasis in the emotional aspects of human experience
- Experience conceiving and conducting user research interviews and surveys and translating them into sitemaps user flows user journey maps wireframes mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences
- Experience designing the overall functionality of the product and in order to ensure a great user experience iterate upon it in accordance with usertesting
- Experience designing and delivering wireframes user stories user flows user journeys mockups and prototypes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
- Experience facilitating the client s product vision by researching conceiving sketching prototyping and usertesting experiences for digital products and optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
- Experience identifying design problems and devising elegant solutions
- Experience making strategic design and userexperience decisions related to core and new functions and features
- Experience gathering user feedback to configure existing interfaces
- A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines managing competing priorities and client relationship management experience

- Knowledge of network security and network protocols

Technical Skills
- Experience with industry principles like google material design IOS Human Interface Guidelines etc.
- Sample portfolio of projects for mobile and web.
- Experience in developing code using JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React
- Demonstrated experience developing systems using clientside libraries (Bootstrap Angular JS jQuery JavaScript) HTML5/CSS3
- Experience with team collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps Team Foundation Server Bitbucket or gitlab
- Experience with wireframing tools like Axure Sketch Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with designing responsive Cloud based web applications for a variety of devices/browsers/screen sizes including screen readers that are in compliance with the Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0
- Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SASS SCSS and LESS FlexLayout and CSS grid design concepts
- Working Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture Working Knowledge of technology data databases applications and networking techniques tools and practices
- Proven experience using a variety of methodologies to carryout the software development lifecycle (e.g. Agile waterfall etc.
- Extensive experience for working on projects for Web and Mobile
- Experience in quickly adapting designs based on client feedback
Other Skills
- Create original graphic designs (e.g. images sketches and tables)
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
- Illustrating design ideas using storyboards process flows and sitemaps
- Proven experience in leading and executing user research (qualitative and quantitative) with design thinking methodologies and user testing best practices
- Experience to lead UX design discovery sessions with business stakeholders to define personas goals user journeys and pain points
- Proven experience to develop research scenarios flows questions and testing script for different user groups
- Demonstrated experience to effectively probe and formulate questions during user testing sessions to find out the details and rationale behind each of the participants actions and accordingly document user testing findings
- Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
- Portfolio of design projects
- Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. and InVision)
- Experience with low high fidelity prototyping tools (i.e. Axure Sketch Adobe XD)
- B.A./B.S. in Design Human Computer Interaction (HCI) or Human Factors
- Uptodate knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Adhere to style standards on fonts colors and images
- Proven experience working in a multidisciplinary team using Product backlog user stories epics managed under DevOps
Public Sector Experience
- Experience within the public sector particular with Ontario Curriculum systems
