Title: Linux Safety Engineer: Linux Engineer
On Site 100
Work Location: 2 MTC Brooklyn NY
Hybrid: 3 days per week in office @ 2 MetroTech Center Brooklyn NY / 2 days per week remote)
NOTE: Work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Linux Engineer to support Public Safety SUN/UNIX/Linux/Infoblox/Ansible/DNS based systems for the New York City 911 system.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
All proposed candidates MUST possess at least 12 years of experience as Linux Engineer.
The following experience / skills / expertise are also required:
Ansible:
o Proficient in creating managing and optimizing Ansible playbooks for system automation.
o Experience in configuring deploying and managing infrastructure using Ansible.
o Ability to troubleshoot and debug Ansible scripts and roles.
o Experience integrating Ansible with enterprise systems including security policies and compliance enforcement.
OpenShift:
o Skilled in managing deploying and maintaining containerized applications on OpenShift.
o Strong understanding of OpenShift architecture security policies networking and multitenancy.
o Experience with OpenShift cluster upgrades monitoring logging and performance tuning.
o Familiarity with Kubernetes fundamentals and container security best practices.
RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux):
o Expertise in managing and troubleshooting RHELbased systems.
o Familiar with RHEL subscription management and patching processes.
o Knowledge of performance tuning security hardening and scripting in RHEL.
Virtualization:
o Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware.
o Proficient in managing virtual machines and understanding virtualization concepts.
o Skilled in optimizing and securing virtualized environments.
Infoblox DNS & Network Services:
o Experience with DNS architecture zone management and DHCP configurations in Infoblox.
o Proficiency in automating DNS/DHCP configurations and integrating Infoblox with enterprise security solutions.
o Troubleshooting networkrelated issues related to DNS DHCP and IP address management (IPAM).
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Percona:
o Knowledge of Percona database solutions including MySQL and MongoDB.
o Experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
o Familiarity with Percona monitoring and management tools.
Dialogic XMS:
o Understanding of Dialogic XMS (XMS Media Server) architecture and functionality.
o Experience in deploying and managing multimedia services using Dialogic XMS.
o Ability to troubleshoot and maintain XMS integrations with communication platforms.
TimeKeeper:
o Proficiency in configuring and maintaining TimeKeeper for time synchronization.
o Knowledge of GPS PTP and NTP protocols in TimeKeeper.
o Ability to troubleshoot synchronization issues in distributed systems.
Certificates:
o Skilled in managing SSL/TLS certificates including generation and renewal processes.
o Familiarity with PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and certificatebased authentication.
o Experience in troubleshooting and implementing secure certificate configurations.
