We currently have an opening for an Accounting Technician II


This vacancy is open to current North Carolina state government and current UNC System employees only or previous NC state government and UNC System employees with unexpired RIF priority reemployment rights. Current temporary employees working in NC state government or in the UNC System will also be considered.



The primary responsibility of the Accounting Technician II is to review and execute procurement requests accurately and timely to ensure compliance with purchasing and accounting policies and procedures. This position will serveas accounts payable contact for all technologyrelated purchases to process invoices resolve receipting and invoice issues with vendors state agencies and management staff to ensure timely and accurate resolution.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Some state job postings say you can qualify by an equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate degree in accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of accounting experience

OR

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and three years of experience in accounting work; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
