The Opportunity
As theDirector School for Visitor Economy you will
- Provide visionary leadership in education research and industry engagement within tourism hospitality and events.
- Drive the schools strategic growth ensuring alignment with industry trends and workforce needs.
- Lead and develop a highperforming team of educators and researchers.
- Expand industry partnerships securing collaborations that enhance student employability and program excellence.
- Champion innovative workintegrated and technologyenhanced learning approaches.
- Contribute to Victoria Universitys reputation as a leader in applied and industry focused education.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A strong background in leadership within the visitor economy sector higher education and vocational education.
- Experience developing and delivering highimpact programs that align with industry needs.
- A track record of building successful industry partnerships and securing external funding.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams drive innovation and manage change effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse audiences in a highly collegiate and efficient manner.
- A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (PhD or equivalent preferred)
Conditions & Benefits
This fulltime position will be offered on a 4year fixed term contract basis. An attractive remuneration package is on offer including an employer superannuation contribution of up to 17.
