The program has shown to improve engagement and retention by providing a strong nursing foundation for quality nursing practice. Residents will obtain continuing education credits upon completion of the program.
Newly licensed nurses graduating from an accredited college within 12 months are welcome to apply. Qualified candidates must have a current New Mexico RN license and an associates degree in nursing or higher (BSN preferred). Residents will be hired as fulltime nursing staff in training with full benefits. Hours will be variable and at various sites. Two year postcourse completion work commitment agreement required.
Residents who successfully complete the programs objectiveswill be interviewed for permanent fulltime staff nurse positions atPresbyterian Hospital Rust Medical Center or other participatingPresbyterian locations

Qualifications
Education:
*Minimum Associate Degree
*Degree from accredited academic nursing program preferred. (If a program is under conditional status approval may be granted by system CNO).

*State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License Academic Preparation:
BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.
*ACLS: Emergency Department Critical Care Cardiovascular Lab GI Lab Interventional Radiology Progressive Care Surgical Services
*NRP: Family Birthing Center Labor and Delivery Neonatal Intensive Care Mother/Baby Care
*PALS: Children Services Cardiovascular Lab Emergency Department GI Lab Interventional Radiology Surgical Service
