Overview
This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of the largest alternative asset managers in the world. At Man we are constantly looking at better ways of doing

We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong analytical skills and a genuine passion for technology and data to work within our Enterprise Engineering Data Platform team. The work will involve a mixture of enhancing and supporting existing systems as well as some involvement with greenfield datacentric projects in line with our longterm vision. The work aligns with multiple business streams like Operations Risk management Finance as well as other business functions that are associated with our investment engines.
Our Technology
Our core Enterprise Engineering Data Platform is primarily based on MS SQL Server with .Net services interacting with it. We use Octopus for deployments
and have several in house developed reporting tool. We rely on Power BI and Tableau for dashboard creation. We also have Microsoft Analysis services in the finance function.
Technical Competencies
- A minimum of 35 years of experience working as a SQL Server/ETL
- Developer/SSIS comfortable working in a technical environment with a variety of technologies and integration techniques.
Essential
- Strong SQL skills : Coding Stored Procedure Functions Scripts with SQL Server
- Strong experience with MS SSIS ETL development.
- Exposure to data modelling.
- Experience with SSRS.
- Exposure to PowerBI and Tableau reporting tools.
- Familiarity with Agile methodology and code reviews/continuous integration.
- Ability to understand complex business requirements and break them down into manageable chunks.
- A keen learner and ability to pick up new requirements/bug fixes and run with them.
Desired
- Experience with version control tools e.g. git/stash
- Practical knowledge of programming languages such as python and c#
- Nice to have exposure to SSAS (Analysis service with Tabular model).
