Clinical Assistant Clinical Associate Professor

CLIN AST/ASO/FULL PROF

The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking applicants holding a DNP or PhD in nursing with a background in psychiatric mental health pediatrics and/or family health nursing to fill fulltime twelvemonth 1.0 FTE nontenure track faculty positions. We are particularly interested in expertise in pediatric primary care. This position is primarily focused on teaching in the DNP program and teaching specialty courses in the BSN program.

This position is located in Gainesville FL. This is not a remote or online faculty position.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching

• Teach didactic and clinical courses in the DNP and BSN programs
• Collaborate with faculty teaching teams to ensure excellence in course delivery
• Maintain clinical expertise including credentials appropriate to specialty and teaching responsibilities
• Engage in professional development to enhance teaching
• Participate in curriculum development to enhance DNP and BSN programs and maintain excellent student outcomes

Scholarship

• Collaborate and/or lead scholarship related to clinical expertise or nursing education

Service

• Provide professional service to college university and profession commensurate with rank

Practice

• Engage in clinical practice commensurate with clinical credentials

The College currently has campuses in Gainesville and Jacksonville FL.

Commensurate with education and experience

• DNP from an accredited institution by date of hire
• For applicants holding EdD or PhD in nursing masters degree in nursing from an accredited institution
• Recent clinical experience
• RN or APRN license. Florida licensure expected by date of hire
• Professional certification in area of expertise

• Teaching experience
• Evidence of clinical scholarship
• Evidence of professional contributions to the nursing profession.
