Oversees the work of the Countys Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventory and development of the Municipal Climate Action Plan.
Coordinates with all departments to obtain the data necessary for accurate analysis to identify progress and opportunities for the County to reduce its GHG emissions.
Coordinates the work across all County departments including Chief Sustainability Office to reduce the Countys Scope 12 and 3 GHG emissions.
Develops strategies and identify best practices for cost efficient GHG reduction.
Identifies and develops sources of capital including but not limited to state and federal grants utility incentives & public private partnerships (including Energy Saving Performance Contracts & Energy Services Agreements) that can facilitate implementation of GHG reduction.
Develops and implements Master Agreements and Contracts to enable implementation of GHG reductions projects.
Coordinates with state agencies on GHG emissions analysis.
Prepares and submits applications for state or federal grants or utility incentives to meet County and/or Departmental energy and climate goals.
Plans assigns directs and evaluates the work of a particular area.
Proposes resolutions to policy issues and problems as they arise.
Directs the preparation of special projects and reports.
Directs the budget and other reports for the Division.
Monitors efficiency and effectiveness makes recommendations for their solution and implements approved recommendations.
Advises top departmental management on problems makes recommendations for their solution and implements approved recommendations.
Ensures that work produced is coordinated with other areas of the department and with other departments.
Maintains effective relations with other departments agencies and the public.
Our Assessment Process:
This examination will consist of one 1 part:
An Evaluation of Training and Experience based on application information and desirable qualifications weighted at 100.
You must achieve a score of 70 or higher in order to be placed on the Eligible Register.
