Job Description
Provide studentcentered service while maintaining compliance with federal and state financial aid regulations. Assist the Director of Financial Aid in the administration of financial aid programs advanced processing and providing complex information and services to external customers. This position will actively advance the colleges strategic goals by supporting efforts to achieve equity in educational outcomes by fostering a culturally responsive and serviceoriented culture through individual and departmental efforts.
The aligned colleges have three campus locations: Anoka Cambridge and Coon Rapids. The successful candidates home campus will be the AnokaRamsey Community College Rapids campus but may be required to work on any of the three campuses as needed. There will be opportunities for intermittent telework available after successful completion of training.
Minimum Qualifications
Two 2 years of experience in Financial Aid Advising Admissions Counseling or another role supporting student success OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret Federal and State financial aid regulations and exercise confidentiality.
Knowledge and/or ability to learn academic programming to effectively administer aid programs.
Organizational file management and computer skills sufficient to manage aid programs independently.
Ability to work well under pressure and provide professional solutionoriented and equitable student services.
Commitment to diversity equity and inclusion work including advocating for students from underrepresented backgrounds.
Preferred Qualification
Working knowledge of all facets of the Financial Aid office operations and federal/state aid programs
Knowledge and/or use of MinnStates Integrated Statewide Records System (ISRS)
Willingness and ability to give presentations in orientation sessions in events on/off campus and/or open houses to small and large groups of diverse and underrepresented college or high school students and parents
Ability to perform duties with minimum supervision and make appropriate decisions independently
Willingness to take initiative on projects event coordination and developing new aid programs
Bachelors degree
