The University of Chicagos Department of Pediatrics Section of Emergency Medicine in the Biological Sciences Division is searching for fulltime faculty members at any rank. Appointees will serve as Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians in our Pediatric Level I Traumaaccredited emergency room at The University of Chicago Comer Childrens Hospital. In addition they will develop an academic niche that builds on our faculty expertise in medical education simulation quality improvement health equity and bioethics research health outcomes disaster preparedness child abuse trauma or other areas that relate to the mission of the Department of Pediatrics and Comer Childrens Hospital. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment qualified applicants must: 1 have a medical doctorate or equivalent 2 hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois and 3 be Board certified or Board eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
