Job Description
The Library Media Specialist will coordinate and oversight of all library and media services. The Library Media Specialist encourages the love of learning and promotes the efficient operation of the Library Media Center in conjunction with student technology usage.
Essential Functions
- Oversee and evaluate existing and emerging technologies to support teaching and learning within a school setting.
- Oversee and manage the online lending library database.
- Communicate and train students and staff on accessing library services.
- Orient users to materials equipment and educational software.
- Network with other libraries and media specialists to provide access to alternate resources and databases.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Media Education Library Science or related field.
- Knowledge of a variety of educational technology platforms such as Turnitin.
- Experience managing and overseeing Library Resources including catalog database research database etc.
- Experience working within an educational setting is preferred.
Range: $47692 $91482 Annually
