Software Development Engineer S3

We are looking for a talented Software Development Engineer to join our S3 Fleet Management team to support AWS S3 Fleet Automation services and help build the new generation of Fleet Agnostic and Cloud Based Automation Services. You will contribute towards our rapidly increasing scale as we expand our services to internal AWS customers. To meet and exceed our customers expectations we are constantly working on software innovation process automation and improving cloud storage infrastructure. Utility Computing (UC)
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazons Simple Storage Service (S3 and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2 to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWSs services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization youll support the development and management of Compute Database Storage Internet of Things (Iot) Platform and Productivity Apps services in AWS including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

OnCall Responsibility
S3 services are highly available but there are times when we occasionally stray away from our normal operations. To minimize the impact of such excursions we have oncall rotations. However we set these up so there are focused time periods when you are oncall and when you are not so you can focus on your day job when not oncall.

Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
2 years of noninternship professional software development experience
1 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
A willingness to dive deep and get things done
Be passionate about software innovation

MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment where continuous innovation is desired
Experiencing building and maintaining missioncritical software.
Experience successfully mentoring junior software engineers
