The Highline College communication studies department is actively looking for parttime communication studies faculty to teach primarily be for inperson and hybrid courses on our main campus starting theacademic year.
The Communication Studies & Journalism department is a small but influential department offering classes like introduction to communication public speaking interpersonal communication news writing and mass media as well as 300 level general education courses for Highlines Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degrees including Presentation Skills and Organizational Communication. The department additionally runs the Public Speaking Center on campus.
Salary will depend upon the number of classes taught. Salary is based upon initial placement work experience and the number of assigned credits. The current salary range per credit hour is $1153.31 to $1234.67 Please review the current collective bargaining agreement for additional information(See 205 Parttime Faculty Placement and Salary).
