As a member of global Ecommerce development team youll play a key role in the creation and evolution of our Promotions Services to solve the worlds most complex technical challenges in scalability distributed systems largescale computing and Web applications just to name a few. Promotions systems are responsible for creating messaging and calculating discounts for promotional campaigns for all Amazon websites worldwide as well as those of our ecommerce partners. Our systems are invoked by website shopping applications hundreds of millions of times each day!

Key job responsibilities
Design and develop scalable software in Java
Collaborate with peers across the globe
Futureproof software for prodigious growth
Engage in sustainable engineering on systems with huge reach
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
