Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Finance Manager to be a key member of AWS Marketing Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing divisions within Amazon. This role will support the WW AWS Marketing organization to help drive growth of AWS business by providing analytical insights to business and finance leaders driving core financial and business processes and goal setting. Key responsibilities:
Develop high quality datadriven financial analyses that drive business insights and support informed decisionmaking by leadership
Develop relationships with business teams implement new processes and drive continuous improvement
Partner with stakeholders including Accounting Finance Technology Treasury and Tax to identify opportunities and business requirements for financial systems process improvement and technology innovation/automation
Drive planning and forecasting cycles for the AWS Marketing organization
The successful candidate will have shown experiences in past roles influencing senior business leaders and supporting decisionmaking in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a selfstarter with strong modeling skills a keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science) or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process reengineering quality assurance) experience
6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience 6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience MBA or CPA Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards) Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results Knowledge of SQL/ETL 6 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience 6 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decisionmaking experience 6 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience 6 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
