Job Description
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words were the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers storage networking power and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and were looking for talented people who want to help.
Youll join a diverse team of software hardware and network engineers supply chain specialists security experts operations managers and other vital roles. Youll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. As Electrical Installation Technician you will be responsible for powering up new racks in order to increase AWS server and network capacity (involves work on ATSs PDCs and Catchers).
The role requires a highly driven selfmanaged individual who can be trusted to plan the daily operations and travel between different locations within the city.
Key job responsibilities
* Setting and maintaining the highest standards for safety and actively promoting a worldclass safety culture in all aspects of operational procedure
* Driving continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures and policies while delivering performance against agreed metrics
* Enabling the operations organization to delivering 100 uptime on all customer supporting infrastructure
* Collaborating effectively with internal & external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence for all AWS customers.
* Follow the standard operation procedures and track issues through appropriate entries into a Trouble Ticket system.
* Prioritise appropriately in a complex fastpaced environment.
* Perform the power up of all racks and rack based systems.
* Power whip preparation installation and deployment.
* Perform system walkthroughs to verify proper installation of racks and updating of their related Monitoring Systems .
The role would require willingness to travel between Data center sites and internationally if necessary
Physical requirements:
* Travel throughout Frankfurt in order to cover different locations on a daily basis.
* Work at heights and from ladders.
* Perform physical tasks on a daily basis.
* Work in a noisy environment with ear protection
* Wear personal protection equipment (PPE).

Completed apprenticeship (Ausbildung) in electrical field or equivalent diploma
Fluency in English
Demonstrate strong technical ownership and problemsolving capabilities with comprehensive IT proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite. Possesses proven theoretical knowledge and practical experience in electrical systems and applications.
1 years of Data Center engineering experience or jobrelated experience
Degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
