The Citrix Engineer Senior is expected to provide technical direction within the team and across the Information Systems department. Assists peers and mentors less experienced team members through the application and sharing of technical knowledge guidance and direction. Synthesizes analysis identifies root causes develops and recommends key work products. Delivers technical solutions for Citrix services. Leads complex evaluation development implementation integration and administration of internal and external business solutions. Provides insight to management on issues. Supports the mission vision values and strategic goals of Keck Medicine of USC.
Essential Duties:
- Delivers technical solutions for Citrix services and hosted applications and desktops.
- Provides recommendations to streamlining the Citrix environment and mentors peers on best practice recommendations.
- Interface with endusers and application testers to validate and troubleshoot applications hosted on XenApp and/or VDI.
- Assists peers and mentors less experienced team members through the application and sharing of technical knowledge guidance and direction. Coordinates with IT staff team members vendors and other key personnel to determine issues needs approach solution scheduling and implementation.
- Synthesizes analysis identifies root causes develops and recommends key work products.
- Leads complex evaluation development implementation integration and administration of internal and external business solutions.
- Provides insight to management on issues.
- Establishes and maintains strict testing and deployment methodologies for Information Systems.
- Applies sound IT production and change management methods to all areas of Information Systems.
- Designs and implements the processes to establish and maintain appropriately available computer systems operations environment.
- Works with other infrastructure and IT staff to maintain and support of Citrix services and applications.
- Performs technical and data architectural analysis and planning of the IT systems installations and upgrades.
- Leads/facilitates meetings and conducts presentations for both technical and nontechnical staff to cultivate and encourage sustained agreement support and collaboration for technical initiatives and courses of action.
- Leads/manages large and/or enterprisewide IT projects involving participants from the technical and business segments of the organization; develops and proposes architectural and infrastructural standards; presents findings and proposals.

Required Qualifications:
- Req Bachelors degree Computer Science Information Systems Computer Engineering or related field
- OR equivalent work experience
- Req 6 years Relevant business support and/or information technology support experience. IF NO BACHELOR DEGREE: *10 years of relevant business support and/or information technology support experience.
- Req Working knowledge of designing installing maintaining and configuring Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop StoreFront NetScaler Citrix Machine Creation Services (MCS) and provisioning VMs in VMware ESX and/or Nutanix AHV .
- Req Handson expertise with Windows Server XenApp XenDesktop StoreFront NetScaler Citrix Machine Creation Services (MCS) and Nutanix AHV and/or VMware ESX.
- Req Demonstrated experience with Windows Server Operating System XenApp XenDesktop StoreFront NetScaler Active Directory and Citrix Group Policies Citrix Machine Creation Services (MCS) AHV and/or ESX hypervisors and experience with system design capacity planning and capacity management.
- Req Requires a maturing level of analytical ability to find solutions to increasingly difficult technical or administrative problems to determine economic feasibility or options available and to assess time involved in system changes.
- Req Thorough documentation skills.
- Req Must be able to communicate the impact and solutions of application/system problems in business language.
- Req Requires a professional approach in all situations.
- Req Ability to work any hours to support 24/7 operations.
- Req Must resolve problems entirely by either completing the work or gathering all of the resources needed for ultimate resolution and continuity of problem management.
- Req Availability to travel between Keck Medicine of USC USC and other facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pref Certification Job Relevant Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE); Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA); and Citrix Certified Professional Virtualization (CCP V)
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
The annual base salary range for this position is $121680.00 $270772.00.
