The Department ofComputer Scienceat California State University Fullerton(CSUF) invites applications for tenuretrackAssistant Professorpositions inComputer Sciencewith an appointment to beginFall 2025. Applicants in all areas of Computer Science will be considered. The department is especially seeking applicants to teach courses in the areas of systems and theoretical computer science and applicants specializing in cybersecurity who will engage in the development and maintenance of the Cybersecurity Concentration and will teach security courses.

Position
The primary responsibilities ofthe person inthis positionwillinclude thedevelopmentand teaching ofintroductory core and graduatecoursesin the discipline and their area(s)of specialization and leading an active research program commensurate with the requirements for tenure and successful candidatewillalsobe expectedto contribute to and participate in the life and development of the department contribute to the assessment of the Computer Science program advise students serve on committees and participate in the broaderuniversity and disciplinary communities.

Compensation
The Assistant Professor (Academic Year) classification salary range is $5925 to $12594 monthly 12 monthly payments per academic year). The anticipated hiring range is $8569 to $8737 per month.
Salary offered is commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition the California Equal Pay Act prohibits employers from paying its employees less than those of the opposite sex and/or another race or ethnicity for substantially similar work research grants moving expenses startup funds and a reduced teaching load may be available.
