Job Description
The Physical Education Teacher will provide grade school students a comprehensive academic and physical experience using the Archdiocesan and State of Maryland Physical Education curriculum. She/he is responsible for creating a learning environment that fosters promotes and develops an understanding of the relationship of healthy body function exercise and athletics. This is a fulltime benefits eligible 10month teaching position.
Essential Functions
Maintains high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teaching of the Catholic Church.
- Plans and implements an engaging developmentally appropriate Physical Education curriculum for students in PreK through 8th grade.
- Creates an instructional environment conducive to learning
- Supervise students in a safe and structured learning environment.
- Participate in faculty meetings professional development and schoolwide events.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree required
- MSDE Certification or the willingness to obtain certification required
- Classroom teaching experience preferred
Range:$50000 $86000 Annualized
