1855 Associate/Full Professor Tenure System
The Department of Medicine at Michigan State University (MSU) announces an openrank faculty position in Health Services Research. This is a tenured or tenureeligible Associate or Full Professor academic year position with opportunities for the hired faculty to bring in an additional tenuretrack investigator at the time of the hire or recruit one after arrival at MSU. The appointment will begin August 16 2025. The position will be filled at a rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and demonstrated experience.
This 1855 Professorship position is focused on advancing scholarship in diversity equity inclusion and justice. As part of MSUs 1855 Professorship the position is part of a universitywide cohort that will advance and transform highimpact research and community engagement to meet the universitys diversity equity and inclusion strategic plan health pillar goals. The faculty member will work to directly address the College of Human Medicine Grand Challenge for Health Equity. The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain a vigorous extramurally funded and collaborative research program participate in teaching and mentoring provide institutional and professional service and engage in outreach in the community at large. The faculty members duties will be based on an effort distribution that includes research teaching and outreach/service.
