WHO WE ARE
Since 1993 The Pathfinder Network (TPN) has been providing justicesystem impacted individuals and their families the tools and support they need to be safe and thrive in our communities. We serve individuals experiencing incarceration those reentering the community those on forms of community supervision their families and their children within 9 of Oregons 11 corrections facilities and in the community in Multnomah Jackson Marion and Clackamas Counties. We develop and deliver a comprehensive scope of evidencebased trauma gender and culturallyresponsive cognitive behavioralbased programs including our proprietary evidencebased curriculum Parenting Inside Out which is the highestrated parenting skills curriculum for parents involved with the criminal justice system. Our community programs feature holistic wraparound individual and group support and services. We serve an average of 3000 people a year agencywide.

WHAT YOU WILL BE COUNTED ON TO DO

As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor you will work in a correctional setting in Clackamas County providing transition and reentry services to adults preparing for and releasing from custody to the community. You will provide participantcentered recoveryfocused and responsive individualized services aimed at reducing barriers increasing access to services and resources and supporting the success of participants so they can be safe and thrive. You will work to support the mission vision and values of the Pathfinder Network and engage with clients in a holistic strengthsbased traumaresponsive person and healingcentered way. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments coordination of care service navigation group facilitation and individual support services in collaboration with system and community partners. Your work is essential in supporting the mission of The Pathfinder Network.

Responsibilities
Assessment and Care Coordination
- Conduct screenings and ASAM assessment interviews and complete supporting documentation
- Coordinate referrals and care for addiction recovery and other resources in the community
- Prioritize treatment referrals and placement for those assessed in need
- Maintain knowledge of community resources
- Collaborate and communicate with internal and external partners to support individuals receiving services
- Develop transition plans with those in services
- Provide individual sessions utilizing structured models of support
- Maintain participant records and program documentation according to set standards
- Participate in clinical supervision and continuing education
Facilitation
- Plan review and prepare materials for facilitation of classes
- Facilitate classes and ensure program fidelity by using a standardized curriculum and delivery model
- Provide evaluations of participants progress
- Communicate and work with Pathfinder Network Training team for professional development and to ensure continuous growth and improvement. Attend trainings staff meetings and participate in group observations feedback sessions and individual coaching.
- Adhere to a high standard of integrity in order to follow security procedures and daily operations; maintain confidentiality of information received that will affect the safety and security of the institution adults in custody and staff.

Experience and skills we are interested in:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- One year of related experience
- Minimum of CADC credential and maintenance of credential required
- Group facilitation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present and work with diverse audiences specifically racial ethnic gender expression socioeconomic education spiritual and other cultural backgrounds.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to gain access to Correctional Facilities
- Must have a valid drivers license and access to a motor vehicle during work hours covered by adequate car insurance.
- Must pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check that meets the organizations underwriting criteria
- Basic level computer capabilities in use of databases webbased environments word processing email and spreadsheets.

Valued Education and Experience
- Associates Degree
- Two years of related experience
- Nonprofit experience and/or experience working in the criminal justice system
- Experience teaching adult learners

Working Conditions/Travel Requirements
The Pathfinder Network follows public health guidance for any public health emergencies and will remain in compliance with any vaccination or isolation requirements from partner agencies.
You will be working in a secure detention or correctional setting. You are responsible for adhering to all of the rules and protocols of the assigned correctional institution or facility. You will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines. This job requires long periods of standing while facilitating groups.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This is a fulltime nonexempt position. Typical days of work are Monday through Friday; however evening and weekend work may be required as needed.
Travel may be required between TPN work locations across the State of Oregon which may require an overnight stay.

Compensation and Benefits: This is a nonexempt fulltime position. The hiring range for this position is $25.49 $27.04 per hour DOE. Pay offers are determined in conjunction with an internal pay equity assessment.
