We are looking for a Control Systems Engineer who is passionate about data center operations and automated sequences to increase efficiency and availability. In this role you will be providing support and developing mechanisms for the nextgeneration control system design sequence development hardware integration I/O mapping tables and engineering specifications. You will apply your creative and critical problemsolving skills to develop solutions at scale. Above all you will care deeply about the customer and delight in creating simple solutions that solve our customers biggest challenges.
The ideal candidate will need a broad background in data center or critical environment control systems IT infrastructure networking programming mechanical facility operations electrical power monitoring and demonstrate strong leadership skills.

Key job responsibilities
Have deep knowledge of critical infrastructure building operations mechanical plant strategies BMS/EPMS programming concepts control diagrams industrial HVAC electrical lineups oneline diagrams and complex environmental and electrical concepts.
Lead and facilitate collaboration with multiple teams including construction operation commissioning software development and sourcing to deliver for customers
Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital control systems and the ability to test and write modifications in multiple system software languages.
Provide QA/QC oversight of hardware installation reviewing proposals and programming through the commissioning process
Experience with data center redundancy mechanical failure strategies energy and water conservation practices and data reporting analytics.
Knowledge of operating in highsecurity critical environments while maximizing productivity.
Innovate new solutions to support team initiative and company goals.
Create and maintain specification documents for global projects.
Develop and support mechanisms for mechanical and electrical controls products.
Interact with AWS cloud services and other applications to present archive and analyze accumulated data.
Travel of 50 or more may be required to manage and support project deployments as needed.
About the team
The role is based in Frankfurt Germany. The team is responsible for the provisioning and configuration of mechanical and electrical control systems. This ensures that data center control systems are deployed and configured on time to meet AWSs capacity commitments. Additionally the team supports commissioning and operational phases and deploys security and software updates to maintain system integrity.

B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Engineering Technology or Computer Science.
Proficiency in software programming languages including Python and/or Codesys
5 years of experience in controls engineering including programming development startup and commissioning of critical systems.
3 years of experience in designing or contributing to the design of Controls and Monitoring solution projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Experience in project management and project engineering with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Experience with Linux systems
Design and integration experience with Industrial IoT solutions demonstrating innovative approaches to control systems and automation.
Proven ability to manage largescale coordinated efforts working with multiple project stakeholders to achieve successful knowledge of Data Center Facilities Infrastructure and Operations with an understanding of industry best practices and standards.
