The AWS World Wide Public Sector Federal Delivery Organization seeks a Program Manager to support our National Security business. This role serves as the operational backbone of our DoD Program Management Office (PMO) managing critical security processes program documentation and crossfunctional coordination. Based in the Herndon VA/Washington Metro Area (WMA) you will be essential in maintaining program compliance facilitating communication and ensuring smooth program across multiple stakeholders.
As the Program Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the security clearance process managing program documentation and coordinating various aspects of program . Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all contractual obligations are met deliverables are tracked and submitted on time and that communication flows smoothly between different teams and with our government customers.
This position requires a unique blend of technical understanding program management expertise and security acumen. You will work closely with AWS teams government representatives and various stakeholders to drive program success. Your ability to navigate complex security requirements manage multiple priorities and maintain meticulous documentation will be key to excelling in this role and contributing to the growth of AWSs presence in the national security sector.
Key job responsibilities
Oversee program documentation and compliance including CDRL development timely submission and deliverable tracking
Manage program meetings documentation and action items tracking
Coordinate crossfunctional program activities and maintain program SharePoint resources
Support program reviews and customer engagement activities
Manage service exception requests and compliance verification processes
Lead the security clearance management process including billet allocation and coordination with Personnel Security
Serve as the primary liaison for personnel security matters and customer badge management
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.
A day in the life
Managing program SharePoint updates and maintaining documentation
Facilitating crossfunctional meetings and tracking action items
Leading daily Program calls to align priorities across teams
Supporting customer engagement activities and managing visitor access
Documenting and distributing minutes from program reviews
Updating the weekly Integrated Program Review (IPR) action tracker
Reviewing and processing security clearance requests through the security tracking system
Participating in PMO security sync meetings to address compliance matters
Coordinating with Personnel Security on clearance and badge matters
Adjusting modifying updating and delivering periodic CDRLs

5 years supporting programs under the Department of Defense National Industrial Security Program and/or with the US Intelligence Community
5 years of experience in program management or similar role supporting DoD programs
Bachelors degree from an accredited university
Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite
Current active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
10 years of experience working in DoD or defense industry
Experience with cloud technology programs and associated security requirements
MBA or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Experience with personnel security processes and clearance management
Demonstrated experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships
Strong track record of process improvement and program optimization
Previous experience supporting classified programs
