Ast Professor in Studio Art Fixed Term
Position Summary
The Department of Art Art History and Design at Michigan State University is currently establishing a pool of fixed term assistant professors in studio art. These positions will be filled per course/per semester on an asneeded basis. Applicants in this pool are reviewed when the program has an immediate need to fill a vacancy within a twoyear period. Positions could begin as early as August 16 2024.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in Studio Art. Courses include Drawing I; Color and Design; ThreeDimensional Form; 4D TimeBased Media; Advanced and Special Topics in Drawing; and/or selected courses in painting sculpture printmaking ceramics electronic art intermedia and photography.

Required Degree
Doctorate MFA
Minimum Requirements
- MFA in Studio Art or equivalent.
- Experience teaching at the college level.
