Job Description

Amazon MGM Studios (AMS) Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the business and finance teams with a focus on managing Fixed Opex costs. This role will focus on both core financial planning cycles including MonthEnd Close Quarterly Guidance forecasts and Annual Operating Plans as well as ongoing controllership. This role provides exposure to both finance partners and business operations teams.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of core accounting concepts and exceptional excel/BI/systems skills. The ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and pay keen attention to details is key. Prior FP&A experience is preferred but not required.

Key job responsibilities
Participate in month end quarterly and annual operating financial planning working cross functionally with various teams including Studios & MGM finance accounting and business operations
Drive process automation to streamline current processes and enhance financial controllership
Analyze complex financial data and provide accurate and timely reports to key stakeholders highlighting key insights and recommendations
Support the monthend close process and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Assist business operations teams with opening POs ensuring accurate coding and adherence to approved budgets
Work with various accounting/financial systems including Cognos Essbase SAP Oracle and Coupa

Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science)
3 years of finance or a related analytical field experience

MBA or CPA
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
Experience in financial modeling P&L management or analysis
FP&A and/or Public Accounting background including an understanding of entertainment/studios accounting concepts
Ability to manage tight deadlines prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fastpaced dynamic evergrowing and often ambiguous environment; effective multitasking skills are vital
Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and senior levels of management
Experience delivering forecasting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated curiosity to learn complex new subjects quickly and earn business/finance partners trust
Advanced proficiency in Excel (macros index conditional list arrays pivots lookups)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
