Job Description
AWS Industry Products (AWS IP) is seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our design and research team. We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fastpaced startuplike environment and have a passion for solving complex problems at a massive scale.
AWS IP is an AWS organization chartered to build industryspecific products by diving deep with industry innovation leaders to unblock entire industries from new business models step changes in efficiency and transformative business outcomes. Key job responsibilities
The Senior UX Designer will work directly with product and engineering in collaboration with a global automotive industry partner. You will take technical and abstract concepts and turn them into a compelling and meaningful user experience that transforms automotive software development. You must be missiondriven creative and independently motivated to succeed.
As a Senior UX Designer you will:
Design developer experiences and cloudbased software management services for the automotive industry.
Contribute to strategic decisions around product definitions and roadmaps.
Brainstorm and prototype concepts and specify designs according to use cases.
Create endtoend user experiences that are useful usable and desirable.
Understand and advocate for customers and their needs through research and the design and development of solutions.
Integrate business requirements and market research to assist in developing use cases and highlevel design requirements.
Design information architecture user interface and interaction flow of services and experiences.
Develop personas customer journey maps conceptual diagrams wireframes and prototypes.
Facilitate design processes present to stakeholders and iterate on designs based on feedback and user research.
Develop and maintain detailed user interface specifications for developer handoff.
Contribute to product management and engineering to instill UX best practices throughout a customers journey.
Chart a course for yourself in ambiguous situations.
Mentor and assist other designers.

7 years of UX designer or interaction designer experience
Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume demonstrating experience creating great endtoend usercentered design solutions and patterns across desktop and mobile devices
Experience acquiring user data (e.g. conducting usability studies performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps
Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
Experience with design tools such as Figma and digital collaboration tools like Miro
Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature
Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards
Experience designing in an agile development environment
Experience designing solutions for the Automotive industry is not required but nice to have

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
