Summary of Job Duties:
The successful candidate will be required to assist with field data collection via UAS (drones) assistance in establishing field research laboratory work and data analysis across the state of Arkansas on the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Experiment Stations as well as commercial production fields. Applicants must be able and willing to drive to field locations and operate field equipment including drones. If not already licensed the applicant is expected to become a part 107 drone pilot within one month of hiring.
The position will be housed at the Livestock and Forestry Research Station near Batesville AR.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelors degree in Agricultural Technology Geosciences or related field of study is required.
Preferred Qualifications
A background in pesticide application fertilizer application farm equipment operation GIS data collection and related software analysis is highly preferred. Previous experience with smallplot research management and plant and soil sampling is also preferred.
