Whats this Job all About
The maintenance role works in various office and residential facilities to maintain the living and working environments of our clients and employees.
What will my daytoday responsibilities look like
You will find success in this role with your strong work ethic integrity and responsibility. You will do this by:
Troubleshooting issues to determine necessary repairs.
Performing general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
General remodeling maintenance of facility roadways parking lots and snow removal.
Performing routine maintenance on building systems.
Caring of grounds and landscapes.
Provide safety and maintenance training to additional departments as needed.
What do I need to be successful in this position
A knowledge of electrical plumbing heating cooling and carpentry.
This may be measured by other jobs held and work required in those jobs and or certificates of training in the above mentioned areas.
Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance person.
Experience as a maintenance person in a residential/commercial setting is preferred.
Must be able to stand stoop lift push pull and carry items weighing 75 pounds.
A minimum of eighteen years of age and possession of a diploma from an accredited High School or the equivalent.

Maintenance I
Definition
The Maintenance I is in a position of considerable responsibility which demands a variety of abilities. These abilities include but are not limited to repair and maintenance of group homes ISLs administrative facilities and other Arc facilities.
General remodeling maintenance of roadways parking lots and snow removal are included in these responsibilities.
This individual may also be asked to drive a vehicle to transport clients or staff.

Represents The Arc of the Ozarks when communicating with multiple outside vendors providers and state agencies
Essential Job Tasks
The development of and continued implementation of a preventive maintenance schedule in the group homes ISLs administrative facilities and other Arc facilities.
Minor repair to buildings and equipment with general remodeling work.
Performs tasks common to the care of grounds and landscapes such as mowing lawns with riding or push mowers; trimming and edging around trees shrubs ground cover flowers sidewalks and buildings; weeding thinning and cleaning flower beds and other grounds by hand or utilizing proper tools and equipment.
Ensure that high standards of safety are developed met and maintained at all Arc facilities.
Arranges and coordinates the internal safety inspections of residential facilities and the Activity Center. Follows up on deficiencies and recommendations.
Participates in the process and function of The Arc of the Ozarks Health and Safety Committee.
Completes coordinates and arranges for the completion of corrective and preventive maintenance in accordance with Arc of the Ozarks operating procedures practices and financial considerations.
Ensures that major equipment and furnishings are maintained in safe operable conditions and/or arranges for replacement.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
Provide training as assigned to the residential staff as it relates to the safety and maintenance needs of residential facilities
