Job Description
Do you want to be part of an organization that is designing and launching a large scale Grocery business Do you enjoy breaking down and solving complex problems for the benefit of a quickly expanding customer base focusing first on customers and working backwards If so the Amazon Grocery Logistics (AGL) Operations Finance team is looking for an experienced leader with a record of achieving results.
The AGL Finance team seeks a Finance Manager to partner with our Supply Chain business partners on operational performance financial analysis long term strategy and . Experience in this team opens up several career opportunities across Amazon.
The successful candidate will have passion for data and analytics be a selfstarter comfortable with ambiguity and an ability to work in a fastpaced and entrepreneurial environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also critical in this role.
Key job responsibilities
Identifies basic control risks evaluates impact proposes changes and implements improvements to remediate gaps.
Delivers weekly/monthly financial close. Uses financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets. Outputs plans forecasts budgets and consolidations.
Works with a variety of data sources. Identifies incomplete or inaccurate data identifies root causes of data issues escalates discrepancies fixes data where possible or partners to deliver a solution.
Uses active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear concise and unambiguous manner. Adjusts style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly.
Identifies and implements solutions to resolve improve automate standardize or simplify finance processes.
Makes thoughtful time management decisions independently. Prioritizes work resolves issues meets deadlines and seeks feedback from your manager. Discerns between urgent and nonurgent issues and acts accordingly to solve them.

The AGL team owns the unique operational capabilities required to support Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market Online. Our Finance teams partner closely with our operations teams to influence the strategic direction of the business drive operations excellence and make sound investment and expansion decisions with the primary goal of continuously improving the customer experience while driving longterm profitability for our Grocery businesses. Our teams experiment fail fast learn and scale rapidly and we have a culture of datadriven decisionmaking.
Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Business or related field
5 years of financial analysis experience
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
Experience in building complex financial models and conducting scenario analysis
Excellent communication skills and ability to present to senior leadership
Familiarity with GAAP and Accounting Principles
Experience with SQL
Knowledge of grocery/retail supply chain operations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
