Does leading a dedicated team charged with the successful administration of construction contracts on Southwest Iowa highways and interstates interest you We are excited to expand our District 4 leadership under the guidance of the District 4 Construction Engineer with the hire of a Resident Construction Manager (Transportation Engineer Manager) who will lead their team in the daily administration and operations of the construction office in Creston. You will have the opportunity to work with a professional leadership team focused on engineering and construction.
As a Resident Construction Manager you will contribute to your districts effective construction administration; while working on exciting and complex state roadway construction projects. You will do this by:

Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
1 All of the following (a and b):
a. Licensure as a professional engineer; and
b. Three years of fulltime professional work experience in transportation engineering or civil engineering one year of which must have included project management or lead work responsibilities.
2 All of the following (a b and c):
a. Licensure as a professional engineer; and
b. Two years of fulltime professional work experience in transportation engineering or civil engineering one year of which must have included project management or lead work responsibilities; and
c. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a masters degree in chemical civil construction environmental materials structural or transportation engineering; engineering management; or a field closely related to transportation engineering.
3 Current continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes two years of fulltime work as a Transportation Engineer.
