Job Description

Position Summary

Ryan Specialty is looking for a Financial Analyst FP&A for its corporate office in Chicago IL. This role contributes to the Companys success by supporting the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes developing and managing financial performance reports and extracting actionable insights for senior leadership through robust and thoughtful financial analysis. This role will also support the reporting and analysis for SEC filings and other financial presentations.

What will your job entail

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with business leaders on establishing both financial and operational plans and evaluating the performance of those plans.
  • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes and develop insights by partnering with business stakeholders.
  • Complete detailed monthly financial review of general ledger accounts.
  • Own and enhance financial performance reports on a monthly quarterly and annual basis.
  • Maintain financial software applications and coordinate updates with accounting and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement new analysis tools within the Workday ERP system.
  • Support the development of strategies to improve financial and operational performance of the programs; act as an early warning system for business and financial risks; support business ethics and integrity initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business unit and corporate leadership.
  • Support ad hoc projects.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year of public accounting or corporate finance experience.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills to develop forecasts budgets and reporting.
  • Strong financial and operational data acumen. The ability to expeditiously work with manipulate and synthesize large data sets. Experience with PowerBI Tableau Workday ERP and/or Adaptive Insights would be preferable.
  • Strong MS Office literacy especially in Excel and Power Point.
  • Collaborative attitude with the ability to partner with internal and external constituents.
  • Experience working on large scale initiatives and managing associated change.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills high energy level and positive orientation.
  • Working knowledge of information technology and its implications for business commerce and managing and controlling business operations.
  • Involved with systemic change initiatives supported and managed change within the organization and/or took steps to remove barriers.
  • Constructive approach to conflict resolution; strong mediation skills.
  • May be required to have and maintain a valid drivers license.

The target salary range for this position is $72000.00 $90000.00 annually.

The wage range for this role considers many factors such as training transferable skills work experience licensure and certification business needs and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Fulltime roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
