Expected hiring range $15.00 $16.25 based on education experience and skills.

Description /Duties:
Perform various tasks to areas facilities and site amenities assigned for:
- Horticulture
- Mowing Operator
- Park Cleanup
- Park Maintenance & Projects
- Playground/Park Improvement
Essential Functions:
- Assist horticulturalist with greenhouse outdoor flowers shrub bed planting and tree care maintenance.
- Perform routine park mowing and landscape maintenance tasks.
- Perform routine park cleanup maintenance tasks.
- Prepare state report of assigned tasks on assignment checklist/work assignment form.
- Perform routine and nonroutine maintenance of park district playgrounds amenities and provide services for special events.
- Operate small equipment as assigned.
- Operate high risk equipment such as heavy machinery.
- Assist with equipment maintenance upkeep of tools and work area housekeeping.
- Handle hazardous chemicals.
- Assist staff in the performance of their duties.
- Attend department and park district meetings and inhouse training sessions.
- Perform duties in compliance with the policies and procedures established by the park district.
- Participate in park district safety and training program to ensure that work performed and services provided are done in a safe manner.
Ability to:

Qualifications
Age:
- 16 years and older.
Education:
- No specific requirements.
Experience:
- No specific requirements.
License/Certification:
- Valid drivers license preferred.
Hours:
Variable hours but typically MondayFriday 7:00 am 3:30 pm. Must be available to work weekends overtime and holiday hours.
