Position Title:Gate Operations Lead Rate of Pay:$18.00 per hour Position Purpose: Provides leadership and guidance to Gate Operations Representatives while carrying out the duties of a Gate Operations Representative. This is a seasonal temporary position not to exceed 122 days. - Monitors the admission of fair patrons guests staff exhibitors and contractors for proper ticket or credential before allowing them to enter.
- Operates ticket scanning equipment and provides guidance for other employees in its proper use.
- Instructs Gate Operations Representatives in onthejob duties as directed by the Gate Operations Fair Staff Supervisor.
- Coordinates and schedules breaks for Gate Operations Representatives.
- Addresses customer service issues related to gate admissions.
- Assists in the training and development of Gate Operations Representatives.

- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills a must.
- Must be able to lead other employees by positive example.
- Must be familiar with different types of tickets and be able to operate ticket scanning equipment.
- Must be able to quickly learn the layout of the fairgrounds and fair information in order to provide patrons and guests with accurate information.
- Must be available to work 23 days of the annual OC Fair.
- Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.
Preferences: - Previous leadership experience would be a plus.
