Job Description
Kepak is a global food company serving international retailers and food service household names with prime cuts of meat ontrend food concepts and readyformarket convenience foods.
Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfilhas combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers counters to branded packaged meat all as part of our service; raised on open pastures sourced from local farmers and handselected by our master butchers we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.
We currently have an opportunity for a Nights Hygiene Operative to work on Traywash in our busy manufacturing site in Merthyr Tydfil. This is a full time permanent position for the right person. You will be working 3 nights on/3 nights off from 6.00pm to 6.00am with a salary of 11.94 per hour.
Job Details:
To ensure the trays are safe to use clean and free from any foreign body contamination for production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nightly monitoring of the cleanliness of trays in use in production areas (Slaughter and Boning Hall)
- Loading and unloading of trays
- Using the traywash facility to hygienically clean the trays and then stack them for drying
- Ensure compliance at every stage of any relevant food safety and/or H&S requirements
- Ensure safe manual handling practices
- Ensure your PPE and equipment are clean and free from damage
Full training will be given.
