Job Description
Salary/Position Classification
- Salary is determined by the applicants degree: $1400 for Bachelors $1700 for Masters or $2000 for Doctorally prepared. Paid per credit.
- Hours will vary based on number of credits/classes taught per week.
- This position requires an oncampus presence.
Purpose of Position
The parttime Instructor works closely with the Program Director and Chair to offer studentcentered instruction in community clinical food service settings research and other nutritional healthrelated settings. All parttime instructors for supervised practice must maintain current knowledge and competencies in the assigned teaching area along with the required license and/or register to practice.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may vary from semester to semester and include but are not limited to teaching tutoring grading course development and student learning assessment. For Fall 2025 an instructor is needed to teach:
- N&D 240 Fundamentals of Nutrition
- N&D 240L Fundamentals of Nutrition Lab
Required Competencies
- Strong communication skills
- Good organization and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with fellow faculty members program director and professional students
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in human nutrition or dietetics
- 2 years of professional experience
- Registered dietitian/licensed nutritionist
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
