Job Description

Federal Work Study positions are federally funded parttime positions. Most positions are located oncampus but some may be located offcampus for students completing internships at nonprofit or government agencies. Oncampus positions may become available for general office and clerical work information technology assistants or tutoring positions.

Job Description:

All positions will require customer service. Some positions may also require clerical computing telephone and filing skills. Each position will have a specific set of responsibilities that will be explained during the interview process.

Work hours: hours will vary based upon assignment and individual class schedule. If eligible a Federal Work Study student will not work more than 20 hours per week.

Education Experience And Other Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.

  • Student must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at Ivy Tech Community CollegeSellersburg.

  • Student must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress as determined by the Financial Aid Office.

  • Student must have a current FAFSA on file.

  • Student must have financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
