Position Summary
The Publications Manager shall develop and manage the publications program for PowerFLX. Publications Manager will be responsible for interfacing with the companys various lines of business and customer related projects.
Position Responsibilities
  • Develop and organize publication system
  • Maintain company standard format for all publications
  • Develops writes and edits material for procedural manuals instruction books catalogs and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures and installation operation and maintenance of machinery and other equipment within power plant
  • Organizes material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order clarity conciseness style and terminology
  • Manage the work of other technical writers editing standardizing or making changes to material prepared by those other writers
  • Assist with recruiting conduct orientation sessions and arrange onthejob training for new hires within the Publications department
  • Ability to determine any adverse impact on the project and propose early solution in order to avoid any adverse impact
  • Provide project requirements to director level management in order to facilitate project completion
  • Create and maintain a high performance environment through goals & vision setting growth values promotion effective coaching & mentoring reward & recognition and leadership development
  • Promote effective utilization of economic and human resources to establish and reach teams goals in quality cost and ontime delivery performance expectations
  • Promote effective communication vertically and horizontally in the organization.
Required Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of experience that provided knowledge and use of various technical manuals and vendor information.
  • Knowledge of rotating machinery such as turbines compressors generators and reciprocating engines a plus.
  • Ability to travel as required (approximately 25 of the time)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to produce work with a great degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer reviewing reports and managing documentation.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions on uneven terrain.
  • Office setting for planning reporting and meetings.
  • Field visits to power plants substations and job sites with exposure to noise heat dust and electrical hazards.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a workauthorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete preemployment drug screen and background check
