Who are we looking for
GHD has an outstanding opportunity for a Project Manager Land Development in Whitby office in a hybrid arrangement.
As a Project Manager you will lead the design of Land Development projects and a team of engineering and technical professionals through all stages of land development projects. From concept to construction you will coordinate with other GHD disciplines and external team members as required to achieve the projects objectives.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Prepare budgets proposals cost estimates schedules and lead proposal preparation.
- Actively engage with clients architects planners and other industry leaders to generate awareness of GHD and its capabilities.
- Lead and coordinate both site plans and subdivision projects from the development of preliminary concepts through detailed design and construction.
- Keep clients informed of project status.
- Liaise and coordinate with subconsultants other disciplines and members of other teams.
- Coordinate staffing resources to meet project deadlines for several projects concurrently.
- Liaise with municipalities clients and other approval agencies in the pursuit of approvals and general coordination of work plan communicating important project information.
- Manage project schedules budgets and invoicing initiating any necessary actions to achieve established financial targets.
- Ensure implementation of quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Ensure that project design records and files are effectively managed.
- Assist as needed with business planning identifying opportunities for growth.
- Perform other design and approval related duties as assigned or required.
- Actively participate in staff development staff assessments and business development activities.
- Actively promote the profile of GHD by attendance at industry functions and conferences.
What you will bring to the team:
- Postsecondary civil engineering education.
- Professional Engineer (..
- 5 10 years experience in design and management of land development projects.
- A full understanding of the Land Use Approval process and roles.
- Strong technical understanding of the core design process.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to lead by example and simultaneously coordinate multiple projects.
- A positive attitude towards their work colleagues and is supportive of a team environment.
