Job Description

Quality Assurance Specialist (FieldBased)
Utilities Programs and Services

Location: Jackson Mississippi (FieldBased Greater Jackson Area)

Job Description:

To support our growth we seek a Quality Assurance Specialist to work in our Energy Efficiency division in Jackson MS. In this role you will serve as liaison between the ICF managed energy efficiency program and program contractors trade organizations distributors and client representatives. You will have office and field responsibilities; some overnight travel will be required. Public speaking training and field support will be required.

Exceptional interpersonal organizational and technical skills are also required. You should be collaborative in nature as you will be expected to support the existing Jackson ICF team. A successful candidate is ontime and ready to go at the start of business hours.

What you will be doing:

  • Contractor and vendor quality assurance and control; including those specific to HVAC Energy Auditing and Direct Install.
  • Providing oversight technical assistance and guidance on energy efficient technologies and practices to those participating in utilitysponsored programs.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure that the implementation and verification of residential energy efficiency projects are successfully executed in the Mississippi market.
  • Preparing and delivering persuasive presentations and providing program representation with contractors trade organizations etc.
  • Field mentoring and QA/QC of residential focused energy efficiency work performed
  • Must have a reliable vehicle for local travel. Requirements are between 50 to 75 of the time in the field. (reimbursement for mileage provided)

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications)

  • Bachelors Degree in (Business Communication Energy Environmental Studies or related studies) (Candidates can substitute one year of experience for each year of education)
  • 2 years of professional work experience; preferably in energy or working with trade allies
  • Must have valid drivers license and successfully pass a Background Check and Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check

What we would like you to have:

  • Experience in the residential energy efficiency market HVAC or residential construction market.
  • Knowledge of energy efficient building practices and technologies
  • Strong working knowledge of basic business principles and successful business practices/strategies
  • Familiarity with building principles energy audits and energy savings calculation
  • Knowledge of residential energy modeling
  • BPI Building Analyst Certification or RESNET HERS Rater Certification
  • Experience working on successful energy efficiency programs
  • Utility experience and understanding of Demand Side Management (DSM) program implementation
  • Familiarity with MS office suite particularly PowerPoint and Excel

Pay Range There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position including but not limited to relevant work experience skills certifications and competencies that align to the specified role geographic location education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on fulltime employment is:
