Temporary Collection Specialist
Position Overview: We have a temporary opening within our Accounting department to cover a maternity leave. As a Collection Specialist you will play a key role in managing customer accounts resolving billing issues and ensuring timely payments. This position is ideal for someone who is professional dependable and able to work independently. We would like the person to stay on until the middle of September.
What Youll Be Doing:
Making Customer Contacts: Youll call and email customers to coordinate collection activities and discuss overdue payments.
ProblemSolving: If customers have billing issues or complaints you will help resolve them or escalate them as needed.
Monitoring Receivables: Track aging accounts and take timely action to resolve any overdue balances.
Daily Invoicing: Print and send invoices check for any billing errors and complete payment vouchers when necessary.
Reporting: Submit regular reports on unpaid accounts and repayment progress.
Collaboration: Communicate with customers and direct them to the right department when needed and support other accounting positions as required.
What You Bring to the Team:
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: 35 years of BusinesstoBusiness (B2B) collections experience is preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite especially Excel.
Comfortable working with targets and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with customers and internal teams.
Strong problemsolving and critical thinking abilities.
Experience: Proven experience as a Collection Specialist or in a similar B2B role is a plus.
