As a Director of Software Engineeringat JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology Risk team you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams technologies and projects across departments. Utilize your indepth knowledge of software applications technical processes and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery.

Job responsibilities
- Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives
- Makes decisions that influence teams resources budget tactical operations and the and implementation of processes and procedures
- Carries governance accountability for coding decisions control obligations and measures of success such as cost of ownership maintainability and portfolio operations
- Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains
- Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business product and technology teams
- Champions the firms culture of diversity equity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification onsoftware engineering*concepts and 10 years applied experience. In addition5 years of experience leading technologists to manage anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Formal training or certification on Java fullstack development MicroService and AWS build & deploy processes.
- Extensive experience leading technologists to manage anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
- Design & build new applications utilizing leading edge technologies and modernize existing applications in particular the Snowflake data platform.
- Building reusable components which other engineering teams can rely on to perform similar functions
- Experience with common data engineering tools and practices including orchestration using Airflow or Step Functions and common data storage technologies like Iceberg and S3 as well as building data pipelines and platforms in cloud (AWS GCP Azure)
- Handson professional experience designing developing and deploying software components onAWS using common compute and storage services such as EC2 EKS Lambda S3 RDS and Aurora
- Implement batch & realtime software components consistent with architectural bestpractices of reliability security operational efficiency costeffectiveness and performance
- Collaborate with multinational agile development support and business teams to meet sprint objectives
- Experience hiring developing and recognizing talent
- Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Certified AWS Cloud Practitioner Developer or Solutions Architect strongly preferred
- Experience using Terraform to deploy infrastructureascode to public cloud
- Experience with Linux scripting such as Bash KSH or Python
