Job Description
FullTime: 30 teaching hours per week 40 working hours)
Start date: 1st August 2025
Limited initially until the return of the position holder but no longer than 30.06.2026
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES
- Primary Homeroom Teacher
- Teach through the PYP framework
- Support concept based inquiry
- Work in an inclusive environment with a diverse cohort
- Differentiate to accommodate individual needs
- Help activate prior knowledge and conceptual understandings
- Plan assess and report against clear learning outcomes
- Collaborate with others and embrace opportunities for team teaching
YOUR QUALIFICATION
- Degree in education with a masters degree preferred
- Experience with inquiry based pedagogy with preferred experience in the IB PYP framework
- Energetic and internationallyminded
- Team player flexible resilient positive & growth mindset
- Ability to motivate and inspire students and colleagues alike
- High level of initiative willing to work in an ambitious and dynamic school
- Effective practice to utilize technology within teaching and learning
- Commitment to academic excellence matched by a belief in educating the whole person
- Sense of humor flexibility and adaptability

BBIS Berlin Brandenburg International School is an independently run stateapproved inclusive Englishmedium day and boarding school serving the internationallyminded community of Germanys capital region and beyond.
