Idaho Power located in vibrant Boise Idaho is looking for two Business Systems Analysts to join our Information Technology team. Its an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. We are looking for experienced Business Systems Analysts to specialize in one of two areas of emphasis on our team:
The first position will include portfolio emphasis with the following duties:
The IT Business Systems Analyst works closely with the IT Service Delivery Manager and IT PMO leader as a liaison between technologists and stakeholders. They play a key role in helping refine technology ideas into actionable project requests by working with business stakeholders to document business needs expected benefits and anticipated costs for new projects through the Enterprise Technology request intake process. This individual will assist with the facilitation of project request prioritization to inform technology roadmaps. As part of broader stakeholder communication IT Portfolio Analysts may develop videos presentations and newsletters to keep employees and leadership informed.
The second position will include project emphasis with the following duties:
The IT Business Systems Analyst works closely with Project Managers and Business Leads to support the of key Enterprise Technology portfolio projects. Through the application of requirements elicitation and management techniques they provide comprehensive requirement tracking and traceability from project initiation through and delivery. They are responsible for mapping asis and tobe business processes and facilitating organizational change management activities as needed to ensure successful adoption of new solutions. They plan and execute crossfunctional testing activities and user acceptance testing.
Both IT Business System Analyst and Senior IT Business Systems Analyst roles stem from a strong foundation of core Business Systems Analysis skills. They establish and maintain relationships with business partners to support strategic objectives facilitating solution assessments validation and elicitation analysis management and communication of requirements. They will analyze and assist the business with developing business cases and/or designing business processes policies and information systems. They also gather estimates for labor materials software licensing and purchased services to analyze and document a projects total cost of implementation and cost of ownership. They will translate and align solutions to meet IT strategy and business objectives. They will work closely with Supply Chain Legal and Cybersecurity teams on Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other vendor sourcing events. They understand technology and applications and have experience with a multitude of business processes and information systems.

This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment fine motor skills including typing on the computer dialing phones filing paper and working in close proximity to other people.
