As Email Marketing Manager you will manage a team responsible for the delivery of email marketing operations to reach engage convert and build loyalty with Vanguards retail (D2C B2D2C) and professional (B2B) investor audiences across Europe. Reporting into the Head of Digital Marketing Europe you will lead a team of two email marketing specialists working closely with internal stakeholders from across Marketing Sales Data UX design and our external agency partners. You will be responsible for advising governing executing and analysing all aspects of our marketing automation and email programme. With greater industry focus on first party data you will help us achieve our objectives through the application of continually evolving digital technologies ensuring we deliver against our client experience digital engagement and wider marketing goals.
Core Responsibilities
- Work closely with a range of stakeholders from across our B2B and D2C businesses to plan and deliver Vanguards email marketing programme in Europe from direct action marketing communications triggerbased journey automations to transactional service messages.
- Ensure that all email communication campaigns adhere to local regulation best practice and brand guidelines.
- Develop implement and manage marketing automation campaigns and journeys aligned with our marketing and business objectives.
- Manage a team of two email marketing specialists ensuring their ongoing development.
- Oversee the governance and segmentation of marketing data (PII) ensuring that it is accurate and adheres to privacy and data management policies.
- Manage the design build test and dispatch of HTML email campaigns automations and journeys via Salesforce Marketing Cloud to build engagement drive specific action or react to behavioural information.
- Ensure that all emails are tested and render effectively across email clients.
- Understand and evaluate campaign metrics. Distribute email campaign performance insights to the marketing team.
- Create recommendations to improve campaign performance and process improvements.
- Manage marketing automation efforts and processes proactively researching and implementing the latest best practices strategies and industry standards.
- Plan and perform A/B testing to define and execute enhancements to productivity conversion rates programs/campaign ROI and sales growth.
- Engage with Product Owners to troubleshoot and remedy any issues arising with the technology stack.
- Remain uptodate with industry trends tools and technologies to ensure that Vanguards email marketing programme is effective and competitive.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years related work experience.
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing or equivalent experience required.
