Job Description
The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for aPartTime 0.87 f.t.e. Educational Assistant atT. A. Norris Middle School. This position will commence immediately and will continue until June 27 2025. The successful candidate will be providing one on one support for students.
The school is located in the town of Peace River and serves students from grades 58. The school offers a high quality core academic program consisting of English French Immersion and French Second Language and a wide range of exploratory courses which include Art Drama Home Economics and Band.
Qualifications:
- Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent
- Experience and/or training working with students in a junior/senior high school setting
Skills:
- Ability to work with children with varied skill levels needs and abilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment and accountability
Requirements:
- Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
Please note record check must be less than six 6 months old to date of your application.
Assets: This school offers French programming to its students knowledge of the French language is considered an asset.

This is a union position under the CUPE Local 4839 Peace River School Support Staff.
Rate of Pay:
$20.72 to $25.99 per hour(dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
