P&G is a leading company in the manufacture of FastMoving Consumer Goods (FMCG) making some of the worlds best loved brands like Gillette Fairy and Oral. Here in Manchester weve been making P&G products at our Trafford Park site for the past 90 years and after some exciting new investment are looking to recruit motivated technicians to join our Pampers manufacturing team.
Technicians will join a multiskilled team responsible for operating maintaining daily running and troubleshooting of complex process technologies on our production lines. They contribute to producing high quality branded products that improves the lives of consumers. The plant operates 24 hours a day and our technicians work a 12.5 hour shift pattern including days and nights.
We are looking for individuals who show leadership potential embrace change and who can demonstrate working effectively as part of a team to deliver high quality results. What we Offer You:
Competitive Salary: You will join on our starting pay and spend your first six to nine months qualifying into your role. Once you have qualified you will move to our level two pay.
5day shift pattern
Starting pay with shift premium 36902.32
Level 2 pay with shift premium 40436.24
7day shift pattern
Starting pay with shift premium 40126.32
Level 2 pay with shift premium 43660.24Generous Pension: The Company will contribute double the amount you contribute towards your pension savings up to a maximum company contribution of 14 of your pensionable pay.
Annual Leave: You will start with 25 days annual leave entitlement (plus bank holidays) increasing with length of service up to 30 days.
141 Shares: For every share that you purchase the Company will purchase a share on your behalf. You can contribute up to 2.5 of your salary into the 141 Share Plan up to a maximum of 150 a month.
Private Medical Insurance: Our Private Medical Insurance Plan currently delivered by AXA Health provides eligible employees with access to private medical treatment if they wish. Eligible employees can request for their partner and / or eligible dependent children to be included on their cover.
Dynamic and respectful work environment: This role is based in our Manchester Plant in Trafford Park. There are bus and tram links near to the site as well as free onsite parking.P&G employees also benefit from a subsidised restaurant free gym facility Occupational Health support and newly installed relaxation garden
Continuous coaching: you will work with passionate people and receive both formal training as well as daytoday mentoring from your manager.
Job Qualifications
We are looking for individuals who:
Have a proven practical background of applying process operational mechanical skills to help solve production and equipment related losses.
Have a high level of personal accountability and ownership for results. Show leadership potential and are not afraid to accept difficult challenges.
Are willing to suggest and implement changes that will improve systems work processes and equipment reliability.
Are strong team players who possess excellent verbal and written communicated skills that allow crossshift and function interaction.
Are able to make maximum contribution with minimum supervision.
